Steel Erection and Installation
Our Erectors are trained and qualified to the highest standards and are CITB, CSCS, CPCS, SSSTS and SMSTS Compliant. We also have our own qualified Appointed Persons and Crane Supervisors for Lift Plans and Slingers/Signallers for installation, to ensure complete peace of mind when planning your project.
We follow four main principles during the process of the steel erection;
We ensure that the foundations are suitable and secure for the erection to commence.
We then lift and place the components into position, most frequently with the use of cranes but occasionally it is achieved by jacking.
We ensure that all components are secured into place using bolted connections, however not completely tightened.
We align the structure; this is done by checking that all the column bases are perfectly lined and levelled and that the columns are completely secured.
We then bolt up and therefore ensuring all the bolted connection are completely secure meaning the erection can be used.
